Sancho is part of United's 'bomb squad' – a group of unwanted players that the club would want to get rid of before the summer transfer window closes on September 1. While they have managed to ship off Marcus Rashford to Barcelona on a loan deal, players like Sancho, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho still remain at Old Trafford. Garnacho is strongly linked with a move to Chelsea, but Sancho and Antony's futures remains uncertain.

On Tuesday, Sancho saw his Instagram flooded by requests from Besiktas fans to join the Turkish side this summer, while club president, Serdal Adal claimed that he would love to sign the winger this summer. Amid interest from the Turkish league and the Bundesliga, report that the Red Devils might be forced to loan him out again as the window ticks down.

– Paralelo ao ganho técnico, a gestão desenvolveu um lado comercial, fazendo com que o clube gerasse receita com a venda dos atletas captados, conseguimos aliar o ganho técnico e posteriormente ao ganho financeiro, fazendo um ciclo de aproveitamento completo de alguns atletas – afirmou o profissional.

Moments before United skipper Fernandes stepped up to take his side's first-half penalty at Craven Cottage, the 30-year-old got into an argument with referee Kavanagh over what he felt was too long a delay, having seen the official bump into him as he prepared his run-up. Meanwhile, United head coach Ruben Amorim said to BBC Radio 5 Live: "In the first half we were there, we missed a penalty…Fernandes has so much responsibility with him that I felt the lack of joy [when he missed] and he was thinking in the past. Now we have to move forward no matter what happens."
